Finding The Best Truck in the Market

For many Canadians their vehicle is a critical element to their everyday lives. This is especially important for landscapers and contractors. These are the men and woman that don't clock out at 5pm. They work their fingers to the bone and use their trucks for everything from picking up the kids after school, to ripping down 500 pound trees and hauling brick from one site to another.

With this in mind, we decided to find out what truck would best fit their everyday needs. Because the market is saturated with different trucks who, of course, claim they are the best we narrowed the field to the top two.

The first competitor is the 2013 Ford F150. There's no question,it is the bestselling pickup truck on the market. Starting at $19,999 for a regular cab, $31,899 for the SuperCab (extended cab), and $36,099 for the crew cab, the pricing is aggressive, but, of course, you can always go much higher. The Raptor, the steroid-enhanced off-road model, starts at $56,599, and, for the first time, offers factory beadlock-capable wheels for those who truly go off the beaten path. There's also a new limited trim line, in 4X4 SuperCrew configuration, which now sits at the top of the luxury models. It starts at $64,799. As before, four engines are available: a 3.7 L V6, a 5.0 L V8, a 6.2 L V8, and the turbocharged 3.5 L EcoBoost V6. All engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

As incredible as this pickup is, it does have its issues. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it'll be opening up an investigation on Ford's F-150 pickup truck. They say that there have been 95 reports of F-150 trucks losing engine power after accelerating, especially when driving in humid or wet conditions. The truck's motto, "built Ford tough," might be put on hold while the NHTSA investigates the problem.

Although there are questions swirling around the acceleration it's hard to fight the F150 repetition and long lasting reign.

However Dodge may have finally trumped the F150 with their newly released 2013 Ram 1500. The 1500's engine is the best in class in terms of gas mileage. Both the V6 and V8 are 20% better than Ford's. They have also increased the power with 305 hp V6 and a 395 hp Hemi V8. Although the 1500 has a higher starting price at $23,600, its overall performance has completely outmatched the F150 and with the reported acceleration problems Ford's credibility is on a

Whether you're a landscaper, construction worker, or general contractor, your truck is more than a way to get from point A to point B. You need something that is not only big enough for all of your equipment and materials, but also reliable, comfortable and strong enough to put in the long hard hours with you.Our research says you need a 2013 Dodge 1500, but decide for yourself by taking the Ford and the Dodge out for test drives.

Different Types of Gold Coast Truck Rentals From Trucks 4 Rent

Gold Coast Truck Rentals offers a wide variety of trucks which can be perfect for any type of moving needs that you may come across. When deciding on the type of truck that you need, you need to first determine what type of work you are going to be doing. If you are simply moving a large amount of furniture or materials, a Pantech box truck will be perfect. If you are moving materials such as dirt or trash, a tipper is likely a better fit. Finally if you are simply looking for a small pickup to move small amounts of your belongings, you should be happy with a ute. Below each of these different types of Gold Coast truck rentals is explained further.

Pantechs

Pantechs in Gold Coast allow you to do all sorts of things due to their large amount of space for your supplies or belongings. These box trucks are great for those looking to move from one home to another or for transporting business supplies around town. Box trucks allow you to protect all of your contents from harsh weather or theft. Ensure that you have a proper ramp on the back of your pantech rental depending on the type of cargo that will be carried in your rental truck. For loading and unloading heavy items, a lift on the rear of your rental will help immensely.

Tippers

Tippers in Gold Coast are best used when having to move large amounts of materials such as dirt, trash or even mulch. By renting a tipper, you can pick up your materials and then simply engage the dump mechanism to unload with ease. Gone are the days of using a shovel and wheel barrow to unload large amounts of heavy materials from a truck. A dump truck will greatly increase your productivity and will never complain about becoming tired. Rent a tipper for your next job that requires a large amount of outdoor materials and your back will thank you.

Utes

Many people say that once they own a truck, they will always have a truck. Unfortunately, everyone is not able to always have a small ute available. If you need to move a small amount of items, utes in Gold Coast can be a huge help. Utes are perfect for someone who only has to move a small number of things such as small boxes or a small amount of furniture. After renting a ute, you may decide that you can not live without a small truck. Don't continue to rely on your neighbor for their truck, rent a ute in Gold Coast and be done with having to rely on someone else to move things from place to place.

While utes, tippers and pantechs in Gold Coast can be used for very different reasons, all of them have their place when it comes to transporting a variety of different things. Decide what types of things you need to move and then rent one of these trucks to help reduce some of the stress that is involved with moving.

Gold coast pantech rental is a family owned & operated business and was established in 2002 to offer Truck & Ute Hire to customers of the northern Gold Coast suburbs. Since then Gold Coast Truck Rentals has been a part of many families at the stressful time of moving house.

Emergent Truck Door Repair Services

While it does not seem like a major problem, when it happens getting a truck door repair service can make the difference between a successful haul versus a failed one. Most people think that an ordinary mechanical problem like engines, electrical malfunction, transmission failure or even trailer problems are serious issues. However the insidious one is when the cabin of the vehicle can't be closed properly, that can be a serious problem too. One other things most people begin to notice when it finally occurs to them is that most repair shops do not handle these kinds of problems.

Truck Door Repair On The Road

When the vehicle is on the road, truck door repair can be a rather tricky. In many cases smaller garages are not equipped to handle this emergency but at the same time getting to a larger service center is a problem with a cabin that can't close properly. So the best way to handle on-the-road emergencies is to get the door managed temporarily. It is always a possibility to carry tools or things that could help with these kinds of problems. That way the driver himself could get the cabin secured and head out to the nearest facility that could adequately handle truck door repair.

Other Maintenance Issues

Aside from cabin issues, there are a number of other small inconveniences that could cause problems on a haul. For instance even a stuck window in the winter or summer could be a problem and lead to distraction. Getting these repaired as quickly as possible could make the difference between a safe trip and one that could lead to a problem if it is not fixed.

To counter the problem of small and pesky maintenance issues, it may be a good idea to have a long database of repair centers. A central database for drivers may be one way that helps in getting services that drivers need at the drop of a dime. This, in addition to other small issues can be debilitating especially when it is something like minor repairs can delay an expensive haul.

Major Repairs

Most major issues can be handled at major repair shops and the regular issues like blown tires and broken cooling hoses can all be handled easily. It is the small issues that drivers face that need to be handled to make sure that the national transportation infrastructure be upgraded to provide solutions.

However, until these issues get sorted out, there is one way to handle emergent issues. Make sure that you carry enough spares and tools in the rig to be able to fix a problem yourself. It is best when drivers are able to handle their own rig. It is also good when rig operators are also owners who know how to handle minor fixes. More importantly, rigs should be inspected thoroughly constantly to make sure that even the possibility of a hinge on the back tail gate is on good working condition. This way no unsuspecting problems arise.
